Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked, chopped chicken
  • 3 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tbsp. of the green part of the green onion, chopped fine
  • 2 tbsp. milk
  • salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 pkgs. refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/4 cup melted butter

Directions

  1. Mix chicken, cream cheese, chives, milk, and salt in a medium bowl to make the filling, and store in a 1 qt. freezer bag. Put bread crumbs in another 1 qt. bag and attach it to bag of chicken filling, and freeze them both. Refridgerate crescent rolls.

  2. To prepare for serving, thaw chicken mixture. Unroll crescent rolls. Each tube has 4 rectanges of dough with a diagonal perforation. Press dough along each perf. so that the rectangle halves will not separate. Place about 1/4 cup of the chicken mixture into the center of each rectangle. Fold dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal tightly. Dip each packet in melted butter and coat with bread crumbs. Place packets on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated 350 oven for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
