Reese’s Double Chip Tassies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar, divided
  • 1 egg, slightly beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
  • 11 oz peanut butter and chocolate chips, divided
  • 2 teaspoons shortening

Directions

  1. Beat 3/4 cup butter and cream cheese in medium bowl.

  2. Add flour and 1/4 cup sugar, beating until well blended.

  3. Cover and refrigerate about 1 hour or until dough is firm.

  4. Shape into 1" balls, press into bottom and up the sides of about 36 small muffin cups

  5. Preheat oven to 350.

  6. Combine egg, remaining sugar, melted butter, lemon juice and vanilla in a small bowl and stir until smooth.

  7. Set aside 1/3 cup chips and add remainder to egg mixture.

  8. Evenly fill cups with chip mixture

  9. Bake 20-25 minutes or until filling is set and lightly browned. Cool completely and remove from pan to wire rack

  10. Combine reserved 1/3 cup chips and shortening in small microwavable bowl.

  11. Microwave on high 30 seconds

  12. Stir and if necessary, microwave an additional 15 seconds at a time, stirring after each beating, until chips are melted and mixture is smooth when stirred.

  13. Drizzle over top of tassies
