German Christmas Bread

Serves 5 people

Ingredients

  • 1 Loaf of frozen bread
  • 1/2 Cup of chopped pecans
  • 1/2 Halved glace cherries
  • 1/2 Cup of raisins
  • 1 1/2 tsp. of Rum
  • 1 tbs Melted butter

Directions

  1. Thaw bread at room temperature until phable

  2. Mix together pecans,cherries,raisins and rum

  3. Rolll dough lightly on a floured board to 1" thickness

  4. Spoon mixture on dough

  5. Knead and fold

  6. Roll into 1/2" thick oval

  7. Lightly crease dough

  8. Fold smaller section over larger

  9. Place on greased baking sheet

  10. Roll folded dough to maintin shape

  11. Brush melted butter

  12. Allow to rise in warm place until size is doubled

  13. Bake at 315 degrees

  14. Cool onrack

  15. Sprinkle with powered sugar when cooled
