Gasagase Payasa

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp Gasagase/Poppy Seeds/Khuskhus
  • 1 tbsp Raw Rice
  • 1/2 of fresh Coconut, Grated
  • 1 Cup Jaggery, Grated
  • 2 whole Elaichi/Cardamom, Powdered

Directions

  1. Roast Poppy seeds and Rice. Soak them in water for 2 hours. Sieve and grind them with Coconut to a paste. Remove to a thick-bottomed vessel. Add 3 Cups of water and let it come to a boil. Add Jaggery and let it cook for 3 minutes. Add Elaichi and mix well. Serve hot or cold.
