Gabe’s Tostadas

  1. made with fresh corn tortilas or purcahse ready made ones from guerillo (start with G), ground beef and red potatoes (shredded) and fixins—-

  2. Gabe liked tostadas I made on 11/9: make like this, DETAILS: Start spanish rice (add ~1/4 onion, rice brown then add tomato sauce then 1 can water add salt, pepper, garlic powder and little ckn pollo boullion bring to boil before covering then cover and cook on 2 or 3 for 28 mins) use the big silver pot and matching lid.

  3. Use whole turkey roll & 1/2 beef, Brown meat and shredded potato (medium reg potato peeled) with diced onion(less then half onion), salt pepper, garlic powder, canned garlic after browned add

  4. most of the Ortega taco seasoning (slowly at a time and tasting it) and ½ cup water or as needed

  5. Put on freshly cooked corn tortillas or premade shells (heat in toaster oven on warm on lowest temp or they will burn) _> tostada, shell, meat, chz, lettuce, tomato, salsa server with rice and refried beans

  6. Add chopped lettuce, cheese and tomatoes, serve with salsa if desired

  7. Have Juliah make refried beans and ask her to put her secret ingredient in it. remember when making beans to add water so it’s not thick.
