Caramel Taffy

  • 1 c granulated sugar
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 c white corn syrup
  • 1 t vanilla


  1. Combine in heavy saucepan. Cook slowly, stirring constantly to 230 degrees, or until soft and holding together in a soft ball water test.

  2. Place on buttered plate and let cool. Pull until taffy consistency. Roll into a rope and cut into pieces.

  3. Can also be used to dip apples while candy is hot.
