HERB RUB ROASTED TURKEY

Ingredients

  • 1 WHOLE TURKEY 12-14 LBS
  • 1 TBSP VEGITABLE OIL
  • 2 TBSP RUBBED SAGE
  • 1 TBSP PAPRIKA
  • 1 TBSP SEASON ALL
  • 2 TSP GARLIC POWDER
  • 1 TSP PEPPER
  • 1 TSP GROUND NUTMEG
  • 1 LARGE ONION CUT INTO WEDGES
  • 6 BAY LEAVES

Directions

  1. PREHEAT OVEN TO 325

  2. PLACE TURKEY ON RACK IN ROASTING PAN

  3. BRUSH WITH OIL

  4. MIX SEASONINGS. SPRINKLE 1 TBSP INSIDE TURKEY. SPREAD REMAINING OVER BIRD

  5. PLACE ONION AND BAY LEAVES INSIDE TURKEY

  6. ADD 1/2 C WATER TO PAN

  7. COVER LOOSELY WITH HEAVY FOIL

  8. ROAST FOR 1 HR

  9. REMOVE FOIL AND CONTINUE ROASTING FOR 2 – 2 1/2 HR UNTIL 165 INTERNAL TEMP

  10. REMOVE AND LET STAND 20MIN
