Overnight Bacon and Brie Strata

Serves 10 people

Ingredients

  • 6 slices sourdough bread, torn into large pieces
  • 7 oz. Brie cheese, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 8 eggs
  • 3 cups whole milk
  • 2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • 1/3 cup chopped parsley

Directions

  1. Lightly grease a 13×9-inch baking dish. Place bread, Brie and bacon in pan and toss until evenly mixed.
  2. Whisk together eggs, milk, mustard, salt and crushed red pepper. Pour over bread mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate 6 hours or overnight.
  3. Remove pan from refrigerator. preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  4. Place pan in oven and bake 50 to 60 minutes, until center is set. Sprinkle with parsley and slice into squares. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
