Rib-Eye Steak with Citrus Grilling Rub with a Twist

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. lime juice
  • 2 Tbsp. pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Dash of balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tsp. lemon pepper
  • 2 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 margarita mix, non alcoholic
  • 8 rib-eye steaks, choice, aged, bone-in or boneless

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients for rub, and coat steaks generously, using all the rub.
  2. For Mock Margarita marinade, combine soy sauce, olive oil and margarita mix. Reserve 2 oz. of margarita mix for garnish.
  3. Marinate steaks in resealable bags at room temperature for 2-3 hours, turning and shaking often.
  4. Grill steaks according to your preference.
  5. Drizzle reserved margarita mix over steaks when served.
