Scones

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 6 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 egg

Directions

  1. Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder and salt; cut in butter until crumbly. In separate dish, blend with a fork the milk, honey and egg. Stir into flour mixture.
  2. Turn out onto floured board. Knead a few strokes until dough holds together. Pat into 9-inch circle and cut into wedges.
  3. Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 400 degrees for 10 minutes. Brush with honey.
