Almond Chicken Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 lb. sausage
- 2 large onions
- 1 stalk celery, chopped
- 2 green peppers, chopped
- 2 cups brown rice
- 1/2 lb. salted slivered almonds
- 1 lb. cooked chicken, chopped
- 3 pkg. chicken noodle soup
Directions
- Saute sausage until brown, remove from pan. Add onions, celery and pepper. Add onions, celery and pepper, saute until tender, covered.
- Bring 9 cups of water to boiling point, add rice, cook 5 minutes.
- Add remaining ingredients in a greased casserole, cover, cook 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Uncover, cook 20 additional minutes.
