Lemon Lush

Ingredients

  • 1 C sugar
  • 1 C milk
  • Zest of 1 lemon PLUS juice of one lemon
  • 3 T flour
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 2 eggs, separated and white beaten

Directions

  1. Mix sugar , flour and salt-set aside

  2. Beat egg yolks and add milk, rind and lemon juice

  3. Now add flour

  4. Fold in beaten egg whites

  5. Pour into buttered baking dish- can dust with corn meal

  6. Bake 1 hour at 325 deg in pan of hot water, until golden brown on top

  7. If using custard cups, bake about 1/2 hr
