Baked Italain Sausage Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Turkey Valley Italian sausage
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 3 Tbsp. parsley flakes
  • 1 Tbsp. basil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 1 lb. can tomatoes
  • 2 6 oz. cans tomato paste
  • 3 cups cream-style cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 10 oz. lasagna noodles, cooked
  • 1 lb. mozzarella cheese, sliced

Directions

  1. Brown sausage slowly in skillet. Spoon off excess drippings. Add garlic, 1 Tbsp. parsley, basil, salt, tomatoes and tomato paste. Simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Combine cottage cheese with eggs, remaining seasonings and Parmesan cheese in bowl. Alternate layer of noodles, cottage cheese mixture, mozzarella cheese and sauce in 9 × 13 inch baking dish until all ingredients are used. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Garnish with triangles of mozzarella cheese. Let stand for 10 to 15 minutes before serving.
