Barbecued Frankfurters with Sauerkraut

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped green pepper
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
  • 8 frankfurters
  • 1 no. 2 can sauerkraut

Directions

  1. Melt butter in skillet; add onion and green pepper and cook until onion is tender but not brown. Ad tomato sauce, water, sugar , vinegar, bay leaf and Tabasco sauce; bring to boiling. Add frankfurters ; cover and simmer 5 minutes. Arrange heated sauerkraut in serving dish; add frankfurters and barbecue sauce.
