Italian Meatballs

  • 1 lb fresh ground sirloin
  • 1/3 cup grated Parmesan or Romano cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup or less Italian bread crumbs
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • Salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste


  1. Mix all ingredients together well. Add water if necessary, to make a meatloaf consistency. Shape into balls, and fry in olive oil. Add to sauce 1 hour before sauce is finished cooking.
