Fried Egg Sandwich

Serves 4 people

  • 2 teaspoons butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 4 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 8 slices toasted wheat bread
  • 2 Tbs mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbs ketchup


  1. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium high heat.

  2. Crack eggs in pan and cook to desired firmness.

  3. Just before eggs are cooked, place a slice of cheese over each egg.

  4. After cheese has melted, place each egg on a toasted slice of bread.

  5. Season eggs with salt and pepper.

  6. Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on remaining slices of bread and cover eggs with bread to make 4 sandwiches.

  7. Serve warm.
