Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 4 bacon
  • 1/2 c. onion, chopped or 2 Tbsp. Dried onion flakes
  • 2 Tbsp. Flour
  • 4 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 2 (14.5 oz.) cans green beans (save 1/2 c. bean liquid or water)
  • 1/4 c. bacon bits

Directions

  1. Fry bacon in skillet until crisp. Remove from skillet

  2. Add onion and cook until light golden and tender. Add flour and stir. Cook for 1 minute.

  3. Add sugar, salt, pepper, and bean liquid or water, and vinegar, stir, and bring to boil for 3 minutes. Add bacon bits.

  4. Add beans and cook about 7-8 minutes. Top with crumbled bacon.
