Marguerita with ham

Ingredients

  • 400g can chopped tomatoes, drained
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 2 x 150g mozzarella balls, sliced
  • 3 slices ham, chopped
  • 6 fresh basil leaves, plus extra to serve
  • 2 tbsp extra-virgin olive oil

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220˚C/fan 200˚C/gas 7.

  2. Spread the chopped tomatoes(you don’t need the juice) over the pizza base, leaving a border of dough around the edges. Sprinkle over the garlic. Arrange the mozzarella on top, then scatter on the ham and basil. Sprinkle with a pinch of salt, then drizzle with the oil. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the crust is firm and pale golden. Garnish with extra basil and use a pizza wheel to cut into slices.
