Pizza base

Makes 1 × 30cm pizza

Prep time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes
Serves 2 people

Ingredients

  • Extra-virgin olive oil, for greasing
  • Half of Gino's pizza dough
  • Extra '00' strong white flour, for dusting

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 220˚C/fan 200˚C/gas 7. Grease a pizza tray or put a pizza stone into the oven to warm. Turn out the dough on to a floured surface. Use the palm of your hand to press out and stretch the dough into a 30cm round. (You may find it easier to get the dough really thin by using a rolling pin). Fold into quarters to help lift it on the pizza tray or take care putting it onto the hot pizza stone. Open out (if you have folded it), add your topping and cook for 15-20 minutes until the pizza crust is firm yet pale, golden brown.
