Pasta – Penne Ala Norma

500gm of penne can serve for 8 people. 3 of ate for dinner and then breakfast.

Ingredients

  • Large tomatoes - 8 - 10 (I had used 7 and it was short)
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil - 1/4 cup
  • Garlic - 3 cloves
  • Fresh Basil - handful (per taste)
  • Redy chill flakes (1 packet of Pizaa hut)
  • Penne (actually used twisty one) - 500gm
  • Salt - to taste
  • Parmesan (Actually used mozzarella)
  • Fresh ground pepper
  • 5 litres of water for 500gm penne

Directions

  1. Cut tomatoes in half and take out all the seeds by hand.

  2. Then cut the tomatoes in quarters

  3. Finely chop the fresh basil

  4. Heat olive oil in large skillet

  5. Put in garlic cloves till they turn brown

  6. add chily flakes

  7. add tomatoes one by one

  8. add salt once it starts cooking

  9. break the tomatoes pulp with a wodden spoon

  10. after it is cooked put it a food processor for a minute to make it a paste.

  11. put water in big pan and add salt.

  12. add penne after water comes to boil

  13. boil for 15mins till penne cooks and becomes soft.

  14. drain penne and put it in a bowl

  15. add pasta sauce, oliveoil and mix

  16. grate cheese on top

  17. sprinkle with fresh grounded black pepper.
