Ingredients
- 2 cups. all purpose four
- 1 T. baking powder
- 1/2 t. salt
- 6 T. Butter or vegetable shortening
- 2/3 c. milk or buttermilk
- 2 t. sugar
- 1/2 t. cream or tartar
Directions

Combine flour, baking powder, salt

With pastry blender or 2 knives cut in butter till resembles coarse crumbs.

Add milk.

Mix lightly with fork until clings and forms ball of soft dough.

Knead, turning 5 – 6 times.

Roll dough 1/2 inch thicknes. Cut dough in rounds.

Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake 10 – 12 minutes.
