Five-Minute Prep Lasagna

Vary by adding fresh or frozen peas, diced carrots, broccoli florets, or corn or cooked ground meat to the sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 jar (28-oz) marinara sauce
  • 6 uncooked lasagna noodles
  • 1 carton (15-oz) ricotta cheese
  • 1-1/2 cups shredded Parmesan cheese, divided
  • 2 tsp dried basil
  • 1 cup (4-oz) shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375F.

  2. In a shallow 2-quart (7×11-inch) baking dish, spread 1 cup sauce. Top with 3 uncooked lasagna noodles.

  3. Stir 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese and basil into ricotta. Season with salt and pepper. Spread over noodles.

  4. Top with mozzarella, 1 cup sauce, remaining 3 uncooked lasagna noodles, and remaining sauce.

  5. Cover with foil and bake for 50 minutes.

  6. Uncover and sprinkle 3/4 cup shredded Parmesan cheese over the top. Bake uncovered for 10 minutes.

  7. Let stand 5 minutes before serving.
