German Pancakes with Strawberries

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 package frozen strawberries, thawed
  • 1 8 ounce sour cream
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. Put butter in glass 9 inch pie plate.

  3. Bake 5 minutes or wait until it melts and bubbles.

  4. Adjust heat to 450 degrees.

  5. Put milk, flour, sugar, eggs, and salt into blender.

  6. Mix on medium speed until smooth.

  7. Remove pie plate from oven.

  8. Immediately pour in mixture all at once.

  9. Return to oven.

  10. Bake for 20 minutes.

  11. Lower temperature to 350 degrees and bake for 8 to 10 minutes until edges are puffed and brown.

  12. A dent will form in the middle.

  13. To serve, cut into wedges.

  14. Put sour cream cream on first then strawberries and then sprinkle with brown sugar.
