Maple pecan pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 9 inch pie shell
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  2. In mixing bowl, beat together maple syrup, sugar, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla with an electric mixer until slightly thickened, about 2 or 3 minutes.

  3. Stir in chopped pecans and pour the mixture into the prepared pie shell.

  4. Bake 55 to 60 minutes or until a knife poked into the center of the filling comes out clean.

  5. Cool, serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
