Hot Chocolate with alcohol

Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 10 oz Debauve & Gallais 60% cocoa chocolate disks (62.5 disks)
  • 3 oz Brugal rum
  • 3 oz Caffe Lolita coffee liqueur
  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • Chocolate shavings (optional garnish)

Directions

  1. Scald milk in a saucepan over medium-low flame and pour into a saucepan containing chocolate

  2. Stir with a whisk over medium-low heat until chocolate has melted.

  3. Add rum and coffee liqueur to a small saucepan and scald over medium-high flame

  4. Stir hot liquors into hot-chocolate mixture

  5. Divide among four glasses

  6. Shake cream in a squeeze bottle vigorously for 45 seconds (or beat in a bowl with a whisk for the same length of time)

  7. Gently pour into glasses so it sits on top

  8. Optional: Garnish with chocolate shavings
