Korean Beef Rolls

Serves 6 people

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced on the diagonal
  • 0.5 c. soy sauce
  • 0.25 c. sugar
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tsp. mirin or rice wine
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Place beef in Ziploc bag or glass bowl.

  2. In small bowl, combine the remaining ingredients, save for the vegetable oil, stirring to dissolve the sugar. Pour over beef and marinate overnight.

  3. When you’re ready to serve the meat, drain it from the marinade.

  4. Heat oil in wok or 12-inch saute pan.

  5. Add meat a few pieces at a time, turning when one side is done.
