Pork Chops with Apples

Cook time: 40 minutes
Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 4 lean boneless center cut pork chops
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • Vegetable cooking spray
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon chicken flavored bouillon granules (or prepared chicken stock)
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 3 medium cooking apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Cook pork chops and onions in a large skillet coated with cooking spray over medium heat until pork is lightly browned.

  2. Combine water, bouillon granules and pepper stirring until granules dissolve; add to skillet.

  3. Cover and bring to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.

  5. Skim off fat.

  6. Add apple slices and cinammon to skillet.

  7. Cover and simmer 15 minutes or until pork is tender.
