Cranberry Bread

This works with blueberries and almonds as well.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons water, hot
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 cup whole cranberries

Directions

  1. Sift together dry ingredients

  2. Mix egg, butter, hot water, and orange juice

  3. Mix into dry ingredients

  4. Add walnuts and cranberries

  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 55 minutes
