Chicken with Pineapple Sauce

Serves 4 people

Ingredients

  • 2 T. brown sugar
  • 1 T. cornstarch
  • 2 cans (8 oz. each) crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 1/4 c. soy sauce
  • 1/4 t. garlic salt
  • 1/4 t. ground ginger
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, combine brown sugar and cornstarch. Stir in pineapple and juice, soy sauce, garlic salt and ginger. Cook and stir over low heat until thickened.

  2. Place chicken in a greased 9" square baking dish. Pour half of the sauce over chicken. Bake, uncovered, at 350ºF for 15 mins. Baste; bake 10 mins. longer or until chicken juices run clear, basting several times with remaining sauce.
