Old-fashioned Blueberry Muffins

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 C white flour
  • 1/2 C whole wheat flour
  • 1 T baking powder (heaping)
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/2 t nutmeg
  • 1 1/2 C blueberries
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 C honey
  • 1/2 C milk (if w.w. is used, increase to 2/3 C)
  • 6 T butter, melted

Directions

  1. In large bowl, mix first 5 ingredients. Add blueberries; stir to coat evenly. In small bowl, beat eggs and honey with a fork. Add milk and butter, and add to blueberry mixture. Stir until just blended. Fill tins and garnish with almond/sugar/nutmeg blend. Bake at 385 degrees until springy.
