Vanilla rich chip cake

Ingredients

  • 18-1/4 oz yellow cake mix
  • 3-1/2 oz instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • 3 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 2-1/4 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 3 tbsp water
  • 1-1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for vanilla butter glaze)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F.

  2. Beat first seven ingredients in large bowl with mixer on low just to moisten. Beat on medium 2 minutes.

  3. Stir in chips. Pour into greased and floured 12-cup Bundt pan.

  4. Bake in 350F oven 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan 10 minutes.

  5. Invert cake onto wire rack. Cool completely.

  6. For vanilla butter glaze: mix butter, confectioners’ sugar, water, and vanilla extract until smooth. Let stand 3 minutes or until thickened.

  7. Drizzle cake with vanilla butter glaze.
