Caramel Topping

Use with Caramel Apple Cake.

Ingredients
- 1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1/4 c. heavy cream
- 1 t. vanilla
Directions

Combine brown sugar, butter, and cream in a heavy saucepan over medium heat.

Bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to a simmer and continue cooking, stirring, for 5 min.

Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

Pour caramel topping over hot apple cake.
