calzones

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf frozen Rhodes bread dough for each 4 calzones desired
  • milk, to glaze
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 med. red onion
  • 2 lg tomatoes
  • 5 oz. mozzarella
  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped oregano
  • salt and pepper
  • garlic
  • parmesan
  • pepperoni

Directions

  1. Thaw frozen bread loaf for 1 minutes in the microwave on high.

  2. This will soften it enough for you to slice it into quarters.

  3. Smash each quarter into a circle.

  4. saute veggies in olive oil w/oregano

  5. top dough with sauteed mix, add pepperoni if desired

  6. top with cheese

  7. brush edges with milk and fold over to enclose

  8. press edges with fork to close

  9. place on lightly oiled baking sheet, brush with milk and make small hole in each calzone

  10. bake at 425 for 15-20 min.
