Cinnamon Apple Saute a la Mode

Ingredients

  • 6 small apples
  • 3 T apple butter
  • 3 T apple juice or cider
  • 1 1/2 t cinnamon
  • 18 walnut halves, toasted, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c vanilla soy or rice ice cream

Directions

  1. Quarter apples and cut into thin slices. Brown in nonstick skillet until they begin to brown, 4 mintues. Stir in apple butter, juice, and cinnamon; cook 5 to 8 minutes until sauce thickens and apples are tender. Transfer to serving plates, top with nuts, serve with ice cream.
