Rum Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate nips
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/3 tablespoon light Karo syrup
  • 1/3 cup dark rum
  • 2 cups crushed vanilla wafers (crush fine)
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Heat nips, sugar, rum, & karo syrup on low heat until melted together. Remove from heat, stir the vanilla wafers in carefully. Stir in chopped walnuts.

  2. Roll into small balls while still warm.

  3. Roll balls in granulated sugar.

  4. Storage: keep in sealed container with rum soaked paper towel to prevent drying out.
