Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients

  • 12 cabbage leaves
  • 1/4 lb. ground beef
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 can tomotoe sauce
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Cover leaves with boiling water for 5 minutes to soften.

  2. Mix the beef, S&P, rice, 1/2 a can of tomatoe sauce, onion and egg.

  3. Fill leaves and roll.

  4. Pin with toothpicks.

  5. Mix remaining 1/2 can of tomatoe sauce, sugar, lemon and water and pour over rolls.

  6. Bake 350 F for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
