Oven Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 6 qts popped corn
  • 2 c brown sugar, packed
  • 1 c margarine
  • 1/2 c light corn syrup
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 t soda

Directions

  1. at oven the 275. Put popcorn in large roasting pan.

  2. In saucepan, beat sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt, stirring occasionally until bubbly around edges. Continue cooking over medium heat for 5 minutes.

  3. Remove from heat; stir in soda until foamy. Pour on popped corn, stirring until corn is well coated.

  4. Bake 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. If corn is not crisp enough, turn oven to 300 for last 15 minutes.
