Southern Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/8 t salt
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 cup pecan halves
  • 9 inch unbaked pie shell
  • whipped cream or vanilla ice cream

Directions

  1. In mixing bowl beat eggs.

  2. Add all remaining ingredients and stir well

  3. Pour into unbaked pie shell

  4. Bake in 400 F oven for 15 minutes

  5. Reduce heat to 350 F and bake 30-35 minutes

  6. Let cool

  7. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream
