Peppermint Syrup Recipe

Ingredients

  • * 2 cups water
  • * 1 cup sugar
  • * 1 cup Splenda(or another cup sugar)
  • * 2 T peppermint(or vanilla) extract

Directions

  1. 1. Combine the water, sugar, and splenda in a saucepan and put on the stovetop.

  2. 2. Cook on medium-high heat while stirring until the sugar is dissolved.

  3. 3. Stop stirring and cook until the syrup begins to boil and thicken slightly.

  4. 4. Remove the syrup from heat, stir in the extract, and let cool to room temperature.

  5. 5. Pour into and airtight container and refrigerate for up to a month.

  6. 6. Makes 2 cups- serving size is about 2 tablespoons.
