Chicken and Dressing Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 large chicken, cooked, cooled & deboned
  • 1 t salt
  • 1 c celery diced fine
  • 2 t sage
  • 1/2 c butter
  • dash pepper
  • 1 onion, diced fine
  • broth
  • 1/2 c flour
  • 1 c milk
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 c broth
  • 2 T salt

Directions

  1. Dressing: use ingredients 2-8

  2. Sauce: use ingredients

  3. ing all ingredients to a boil to thicken, except eggs. Beat eggs in separate bowl and gradually add some heated mixture to them. Then pour egg mixture into the rest of sauce. Continue to boil on low to completely cook egg and thicken sauce. Make dressing and put in bottom of pan or dish. Lay chicken on top. Cover with more dressing. Pour sauce over top. Bake at 300 degress for 1 hour. Serves 12-15.
