Classic New York Cheesecake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 4 packages (8 ounces each) Philadelphia Original Cream Cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons flour
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 eggs

Directions

  1. Crust: Mix crumbs, sugar, and butter; press onto bottom of 9 inch springform pan.

  2. Bake at 325 degrees for 10 minutes if using a silver springform pan.

  3. (Bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes if using a dark nonstick springform pan.)

  4. Filling: Mix cream cheese, sugar, flour, and vanilla with electric mixer on medium speed until well blended.

  5. Blend in sour cream.

  6. Add eggs, mixing on low speed just until blended.

  7. Pour over crust.

  8. Bake at 3250 degrees for 1 hour and 5 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes or until center is almost set if using a 9 inch silver springform pan.

  9. (Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour and 5 minutes to 1 hour and 10 minutes or until center is almost set if using a 9 inch dark nonstick springform pan.)

  10. Run knife or metal spatula around rim of pan to loosen cake; cool before removing rim of pan.

  11. Refrigerate 4 hours or overnight.
