Holiday Pinwheels

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 1 cannister (13.8 oounces) of refrigerated pizza dough
  • Flour for dusting work space
  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 box (10 ounces frozen, chopped spinach, thawed, squeezed dry
  • 1 cup shredded reduced-fat cheddar
  • 2 ounces presliced pepperoni
  • 1 cup shredded reduced fat mozzarella

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

  2. (For spinach pinwheels combine olive oil, salt, garlic powder, and pepper in a small bowl.)

  3. Coat cookie sheet with cooking spray.

  4. Lay dough on floured work space; press into rectangle.

  5. (For spinach pinwheels, brush on oil mix.)

  6. Lay spinach or pepperoni on top.

  7. Add cheese.

  8. Starting at short end, roll dough.

  9. Place on cookie sheet.

  10. Brush on egg mix.

  11. Bake 20 minutes, or until golden.

  12. Cool; slice.
