Turkey burgers, two ways

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon jarred chopped garlic
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 pounds ground turkey
  • 1 cup plain bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 3 ounces goat cheese
  • 6 hamburger rolls
  • 6 small potato rolls
  • 1 jar red pepper salsa

Directions

  1. Coat grill with cooking spray; preheat to medium high. Beat eggs lightly in a large bowl.

  2. In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat.

  3. Add onion and garlic; cook 3 minutes, stirring, until soft.

  4. Add onion and garlic to eggs, mixing in salt, turkey, bread crumbs, ketchup, and oregano.

  5. Shape 6 large and 6 small burgers.

  6. Make a pocket in each large burger and fill with 1 tablespoon goat cheese.

  7. Grill for 8 to 15 minutes.

  8. Serve adult burgers with salsa.
