Orange Rosemary biscuits

Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon rosemary, chopped fresh
  • zest of 1 orange
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/3 to 1/2 cup Florida's Natural orange juice
  • Optional Ingredients:
  • 9 slices prosciutto or ham
  • 9 slices goat cheese
  • 9 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 3 Tablespoons olive oil

Directions

  1. In large bowl stir together flour, baking powder, salt, rosemary, and orange zest.

  2. Cut in butter; gradually add orange juice to make a soft dough.

  3. Knead on lightly floured surface 10 turns.

  4. Roll out dough to 1/4 inch thickness.

  5. Cut with 1 1/2 inch cutter.

  6. Place on greased baking sheet; bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until browned.

  7. Serve with ham or prosciutto, goat cheese, and olive oil.

  8. Goat cheese can be rolled in 1 teaspoon orange zest and 1 teaspoon chopped rosemary.
