Cornbread

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 TBS soda
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 TBS salt

Directions

  1. Beat melted butter and sugar, add eggs and mix well.

  2. Combine buttermilk and soda.

  3. Add to the sugar mixture along with dry ingredients.

  4. Stir until just blended.

  5. Pour into greased 8-inch square pan.

  6. Bake at 375 for 30 minutes.
