Feather Dumplings

So good and light

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour, sifted
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 egg, well beaten
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter
  • Milk ( about 2/3 cup )

Directions

  1. Sift dry ingredients together.

  2. Add egg, melted butter and enough milk to make a moist stiff batter.

  3. Drop by teaspoonful into boiling liquid.

  4. Cover very closely and cook for 18 minutes.

  5. Makes 2 dozen.
