SNOW GHOST COCOA CREAM PIE ( Chocolate Pie )

Ingredients

  • 1 (9") baked pastry shell or crumb crust
  • 1/2 c. Hershey's cocoa
  • 1 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1/3 c. cornstarch
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 3 c. milk
  • 3 tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • Sweetened whipped cream

Directions

  1. Combine cocoa, sugar, salt, cornstarch in a medium saucepan.

  2. Gradually blend milk into dry ingredients, stirring until smooth.

  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until filling boils. Boil 1 minute.

  4. Remove from heat; blend in butter and vanilla. Pour into pie crust.

  5. Carefully press plastic wrap directly onto pie filling.

  6. Cool. Chill 3 to 4 hours.

  7. Garnish with whipped cream.
