Italian Appetizer Bites

Helpful hint: When ordering meats and cheese at the deli counter, ask for the meats and cheese in two 1/4 lb. packages. You won’t have to take the time to separate them.

Ingredients

  • 2 packages (8 oz. each) refrigerated crescent rolls
  • 1/2 lb. sliced deli salami
  • 1/2 lb. sliced provolone cheese
  • 1/2 lb. sliced boiled deli ham
  • 7 eggs
  • 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 2 jars (12 oz. each) roasted red peppers, drained sliced if not already in strips

Directions

  1. at oven to 350. Coat 13/9/2" glass baking dish with nonstick cooking spray. Unroll one package rolls and use dough to line the bottom of baking dish. Pinch seams together with fingers.

  2. Cover rolls with half of the salami, provolone and ham. Lightly beat together 3 of the eggs and 1/2 of the parmesan. Pour evenly over top. Top with half of the roasted red peppers. Repeat layering with remaining salami, provolone, and ham, egg and cheese mixture and roasted peppers. Top with remaining packages of crescent rolls.

  3. Lightly beat remaining eggs and brush over top. Cover dish with foil. Bake for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 30 more minutes. Cool for one hour; cut into 32 squares.
