chocolate chip cookies

Serves 24 people

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup margarine or butter, softened
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 2 3/4 cups Original Bisquick
  • 1 bag (6 ounces) semisweet chocolate chips (1 cup)
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts, if desired

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.

  2. Mix margarine, brown sugar, vanilla, and egg in large bowl.

  3. Stir in Bisquick, chocolate chips and nuts.

  4. Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet; flatten slightly.

  5. Bake about 10 minutes or until golden brown.

  6. Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack.
