Nonni’s Pasta el Pesto

Ingredients

  • 5 cup basil leaves
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 2 large or 3 small garlic cloves (or 1/2 tsp garlic powder)
  • 1/2 box spaghetti
  • parmesan cheese
  • butter

Directions

  1. Rinse basil well, removing tough stems

  2. Drain well

  3. Place leave in belnder

  4. Add oil and cut-up cloves or powder

  5. Blend until thoroughly homogenized

  6. Can be frozen at this stage

  7. Before serving [defrost and] heat with 2 tbs butter and 2 tbs parmesan

  8. Toss with cooked spaghetti

  9. Serve with grated parmessan
